The three-night program dates are May, 9-12; May, 16-19; May, 23-26, 2013. This year’s visiting vintners are Tuck Beckstoffer Wines, Et Fille Wines and Chappellet Winery.
About Tuck Beckstoffer Wines . . .Thursday, May 9 through Sunday, May 12
Tuck Beckstoffer and his family moved to the Napa Valley in 1975 to begin their involvement in the California Grape Growing Business. His love of the farming and wine making process began almost immediately as a young boy. As a teenager, Tuck worked in the vineyards of Napa and Mendocino Counties, working with field crews and operating equipment in Beckstoffer owned and managed vineyards. During college, he spent his summers working in the soon to be famous wineries of the Napa Valley alongside some of the most influential winemakers in California, learning winemaking techniques and sensory evaluation. After University, Tuck returned to Napa to work for Beckstoffer Vineyards.
Et Fille Wines . . .Thursday, May 16 through Sunday, May 19
Et Fille Wines is a small, family-run, Oregon winery specializing in premium boutique pinot noir and viognier wines. Et Fille, which means "and daughter", honors the hand-in-hand, father and daughter team of Howard Mozeico and Jessica Mozeico-Blair that makes these wines. They are passionate about the differences in wine characteristics based on the soil type of the vineyard. Howard and Jessica personally touch the grape clusters, fermenters, barrels, and bottles that eventually become their wine. They deal in small lots of grapes, small fermentation lots and small oak barrels. This vintner weekend will be an intimate opportunity to ask anything you wanted to know about the winemaking process or owning a winery but didn't want to ask.
Thursday, May 23 through Sunday, May 26
The Chappellet family has been crafting world class wines from their Pritchard Hill estate vineyards since 1967. They were the first to plant vineyards exclusively on high elevation hillsides and the second winery to be established in the Napa Valley after Prohibition. The rugged terroir of Chappellet's vineyards produces wines with great intensity and depth, qualities that define the world's finest wines, and has become synonymous with powerful hillside Cabernet Sauvignon. For four decades Chappellet wines have received high praise from wine critics and have been sought after by the world's premier collectors.
