Triple Creek Ranch

Cross-Country Skiing

Whether you are a skilled Nordic skier or would like to try cross-country skiing for the first time, we encourage you to experience the Chief Joseph Cross-Country Ski Area at the top of Lost Trail Pass, where Montana and Idaho meet.  You will find 25 km of well-groomed trails ranging from beginner to advanced along the Continental Divide.  Just a mile up the trailhead, a beautiful log cabin is available for guests to eat their lunch or just warm up by the cozy fire.  Nearby, backcountry skiers can enjoy the Old Anderson Mountain Road which is a section of the Continental Divide Trail.

A selection of skis, poles and boots, as well as maps, is available here at the ranch for your use.  For more information, contact one of our Activity Coordinators.  Pack lunches are available for those who would like to make a day of it.

Contact our Activity Coordinator with your preferred day and time.

Guests drive themselves to the Chief Joseph Ski area, approximately forty-five minutes away.  All roads to the ski area are plowed and sanded regularly.

There are no guides for this adventure.  However, with enough notice, we can possibly arrange for one of the Cross Country Ski Club members to give a lesson.
