Scenic River Float
Just go with the flow…
Lost in the currents of serenity, let the river guide your soul, and the scenery take your breath away!
Bitterroot River
Enjoy a picnic lunch or dinner as you drift lazily along the shores of the Bitterroot River in this private excursion with experienced guides from Fly Fishing Always. With brilliant blue skies above, search for various wildlife, birds and wildflowers along the winding banks.
Guides will meet guests in the Activity Center at their scheduled time. Guides can take one to three guests per boat, depending on water levels. May and June can be high water with limited scenic float availability due to snow melt. Availability is somewhat flexible with as little as a day’s notice, though we recommend you reserve trip(s) in advance to ensure a guide on your preferred day. Some guides have boat dogs. If you would prefer not to have a boat dog, please let us know upon booking your trip.
Half day and full day guided river floats are priced from $480 – $540 with a 50% deposit due on advance bookings. A 24-hour cancellation fee is enforced.
Salmon River
Discover and capture the breathtaking wonders of nature and rich wildlife as you unwind along the Salmon River with your guides from Rawhide River Trips. Enjoy a relaxing float as you watch eagles and ospreys dive for fish, talking with your guide about local history, or jumping in the river for a swim.
Guests will provide their own vehicle transportation & drive themselves just an hour and fifteen minutes from Triple Creek Ranch to meet their guide in North Fork, Idaho at the Rawhide River Trips Boathouse. Water and snacks will be provided by your guide. Guests are encouraged to bring water type shoes or sandals that you don’t mind getting wet, sun glasses, & sun screen for body and lips.
You may also choose to add-on a historical storytelling by Judy Washbon throughout your journey, to highlight your adventure along the route of the the Lewis & Clark expedition. Lively and entertaining and so much more than a dry interpretation that simply points out only the geographical locations of the Lewis & Clark expedition, Judy’s talks are entertaining storytelling experiences that bring the actual stories of the expedition to life. Covering not only the major events, but also the lesser known and exciting day to day adventures and personal stories that happened before, during and after the journey. Judy will share stories of the expedition adventures as well as learning about the life, myths and mysteries of the only female member, the young Shoshone native, Sacajawea.
These half day adventures are priced at $83 per guest, and will be added to your cabin invoice, with a minimum of 3 participants including other guests. To secure the boat with only 2 guests, guests may agree to pay $125/person. If additional guests are added (either TCR guests or RRT guests), then the rate will be reduced to the standard $83/person. Cancellation within 30 days is 30%; within 48 hours full price. Should you choose to add-on the Historical Storytelling with Judy Washbon, an additional $80 will be added to your cabin invoice as well.
Salmon River Scenic Floats are available from June (dependent upon ice melt) through August.
